Al Gore was born on March 31, 1948 in Washington. He was the 45th vice president under Bill Clinton’s presidency. Prior to becoming the vice president, AlGore was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1976, 1978, 1980, and 1982 and to the U.S. Senate in 1984 and 1990.
Al Gore attended Harvard University where he graduated with a B.A. in 1969. After graduation, he served as a reporter in the Vietnam war.
Gore is credited for boosting the progress of the Information Superhighway which he stated would become a driver to reduce inequality in the world.
He has made global warming and climate change one of his key battle since the early 2000s. Gore has published various books such as An Inconvenient Truth, The Assault on Reason and Earth in the Balance, among many others. In 2007, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
