Rhonda Byrnes criticises small thinking and challenges the average person to think outside the box. The author has meandered through great thinkers and brought together a positive thought that every average thinker will look at and desire to be different.

Insight 1- The power of attraction is real

‘‘See yourself living in abundance and you will attract it. It works every time, with every person.’’ 

The power of thinking about oneself and looking at yourself as you would wish, you will eventually become like that. Byrnes argues that as one thinks of themselves as living in abundance, so do they become. This is based on the law of attraction. Byrnes goes ahead and puts it across that many people are not living to their dreams, because they do not believe in that power of attraction.

In as much as we want to become great, we must always believe in ourselves and see our self-image in the view of what we want to become. According to Byrne, most people are thinking about what they do not want to become, and they wonder why it shows up over and over again.

Insight 2- what you think you become

‘‘Creation is always happening. Every time an individual has a thought, or a prolonged chronic way of thinking, they’re in the creation process. Something is going to manifest out of those thoughts.’’ 

Thinking is like looking up oneself in the mirror. What one thinks about them comes back to them as a reality.  In that case, if you are complaining, the life and nature will bring to you many situations that will make you complain further. To be precise, what you think about most of the time, or that which you focus most on in life, eventually becomes a reality in life.

Your life is a reflection of your thought which you have actually created. Your thoughts are simply the seeds, and the harvests you are likely to get are parallel to the seeds sowed.

Are you aware that you reap what you sow? You can completely change your entire life and event, by simply changing the way you think.

Insight 3- Declaration is the first step to reality.

‘‘The first step is to ask. Make a command to the Universe. Let the universe know what you want. The Universe responds to your thoughts.’’ 

Believing in you is not enough. You must declare in full that which you want in this life. There is power in a declaration and that power comes from the tongue. Let the universe know your desires and work harder towards achieving them. Working harder without declaring your desires to the universe may not work out in your favour. You may live to work towards achieving greater things, but without declaring that desire, it may even be forgotten to you what you are working towards achieving. Hard work is crowned by a declaration of the tongue. The power of the tongue is real and everyone dreaming of becoming great in life should have that well-orchestrated in their mind.

Clarity about what you exactly want to achieve in life is what Byrne is insisting on in this point. According to Byrne, being clear about what you exactly want is like placing an order over the catalog which happens just once. Thinking about what you want in life is similar. As much as you want to achieve something, it should first click and stick in your mind.

Insight 4-The power of attitude of gratitude

“If it is a new thought to you that gratitude brings your whole mind into closer harmony with the creative energies of the Universe, consider it well, and you will see that it is true.’’ 

Whereas many people think or feel as if it is total deception, living in gratitude makes what you desire sound very real. Believing that you are capable of achieving a certain set target motivates you towards bringing that into a reality. Gratitude recommends accepting and appreciating that which we already have in life or that which we do best. It is simply a thank you to oneself.  With this kind of mind-set, one is able to achieve a lot more and make things come to a reality. Think about that which you desire to achieve in this life, work harder towards achieving it, and with that positive thinking, you will easily achieve it. That is the power of gratitude.
